Main Characters and Plot!
The main characters of the book are Chris Kyle. First off is Chris Kyle. Chris is a retired United States Navy Seal who served from 1999-2009. "He is one of the most elite soldiers racking up more than 160+ confirmed kills" according to D Magazine. Chris Kyle was a highly decorated veteran and is one of the best solider that was alive. His life would shorty take a fall when he was driving himself and 2 others to a gun range at a lodge, since he helps veterans with PTSD, but a man named Eddie Ray Routh shot and killed Kyle.
The plot is set-up as Chris meeting Taya his wife, then moving onto when he joins the Navy and going through BUD/s training to join the seals. Next he talks about the kills he got and his journey between him in war and his family.

Themes and Symbols
A theme that I saw was Character vs life. Chris Kyle talks alot about him struggling to deal with war and loving it so much, but when family was coming he would be sad because he was so in love with war and wanting more. He really never got to see his wife or kids much while he was fighting in war and killing. Another thing I saw was when he returned home he would have to deal with civilian life while meeting his children and deal with stress, depression, and ptsd. Chris Kyle had many symbols and themes in the book he wrote, but this one stuck out more since he talked alot about it in the book. Last off is the symbol of love. As much as he loved war he missed his family. Wanting to see them he had children making it hard on him to see them and having to deal with war.
