Authors Purpose: Chris Kyle
Chris Kyle was the author of "American Sniper", which the reason why he wrote the book was so that he can talk about the sacrifices they made to the service and to the families. In the interview by "Time Magazines", he explained this, "I wanted to be able to get it out about not the sacrifices that the military members make, but the sacrifices that their families have to go through about the single mothers now raising their children and doing all the day-to-day house chores," according to Time Magazines in 2011. There are some very fascinating connections between my author and the novel he wrote. First off would be his connection to the United States Navy. In the book he writes about how he went through seal training otherwise known as BUD/s. He worked with the Navy Seals for many years and has told us about his journey in his deployment. He gets very connected when he talks about his friends that have died in the service, and expresses it to tell us all about it. Another way he connects with his life and the book is talking about how he meet his wife Taya, and how their lives develop with him in the service. His life was a mess with him being in the service and her being a mom, so he goes deep and tells us the connections he had to make to save his marriage and to see his kids. Last connection would be his life at the end once he was out of service. Him making bonds with his kids was a very good connection with him and his book that he created. "He hasn't really got to see his kids due to his service, as said in his book." Chris Kyle wrote this book to explain his journey and life of becoming one of the best snipers in the world.
